The Infant Program
(6 weeks - 18 months)
Infants enrolled in the program adhere to their own individual schedule throughout the day. Information provided by the parents is used to plan each child's day according to his/ her needs. As a result feeding , diapering and napping are each an integral part of the daily curriculum.
*We maintain a 1:4 or 2:8 teacher to child ratio.
Additional activities include:
* outdoor free play
* indoor free play
* fingerplays, songs, books
* sensory experiences
* music and movement
* painting and coloring
The Toddler Program
(18 months - 3 years)
Toddlers are provided with the opportunity to gain a sense of mastery over their environment through exploration and play. Creativity and freedom of choice are encouraged as toddlers assert their independence.
*We maintain a 1:5 ratio for children 18-24 months and 1:6-2:12 for children 24-36 months.
Highlights of the program include:
*hands-on activities
*toys displayed on low, open shelves
*outdoor play
*centers of different areas
(ex: transportation, dramatic play, etc.)
The Preschool/
PreK Program
(3 years - 5 years)
The Preschool Program offers a wide variety of experiences. Through weekly themes, the children learn new concepts, allowing them to extend their play to share individual differences.
*We maintain a 1:10 or 1:12 | 2:20 2:24 ratio depending on the youngest child.
Emphasis is placed on socialization skills as children learn to play creatively and cooperatively through:
* music and movement
* writing tools
* block play
* dramatic play
* games
* outdoor play
* art experiences
* books
Four year old (PreK) children are also taught skills to ready them for Kindergarten. Kindergarten Readiness is key to Kindergarten success!
School Agers
Lil' Sneakers University offers before and after care for school aged children. Although we don't provide any school transportation, Mentor schools buses to and from Ridge Elementary School. Lil' Sneakers provides full day care for all school holidays and snow days.
During the summer, Lil' Sneakers offers a camp program specifically to keep the school ager busy.

Both of my boys attend/attended Pre-K at lil sneakers, and I could not recommend a better program! The teachers and all the staff I've encountered are by far the best around. It's amazing to see how far they progress throughout the program. I waited too long this summer before I enrolled my son in a Pre-K program and almost did not get a spot and I was devastated.
